To give it the full title “Nothing to lose but your Chains, Futons,Muesli Bowls, Stripped Pine, Jacuzzis, Bottled Water and Herpes” (although the words often changed) was written by Eugene Byrne and Brian Smedley and performed by Sheep Worrying Theatre in September 1983.
The show was a mixture of Byrne’s hatred of yuppies and Smedley’s developing interest in Trotskyism.
It starred Ed Grey, Pete Williams, Tim Mander, Sally Grieve, Fiona Dunbar and Gareth Beasley.
The play was directed by Stuart Croskell.
